Fiber lasers
Laser cutting, engraving and marking with a fiber laser
Fiber lasers are solid state lasers that are suitable for processing metals and plastics. Fiber lasers can realize a small focus diameter due to a short wavelength. Fiber lasers also have few components that wear out. In addition, fiber lasers consume less power and require less cooling than CO₂ lasers. CO₂ lasers, on the other hand, are better suited for materials such as wood, rubber or glass.
Fiber lasers produce invisible laser light. We therefore recommend using a fiber laser system with a Class 1 laser safety enclosure.
