Filters

The extraction systems are equipped with different types of filters. The filters will remove the various dust particles, adhesives and gases from the extracted air.

Pre-filter/bag filter

The pre-filter removes the larger particles from the air and is primarily intended to relieve the more expensive HEPA filter.

DeepPleat DUO pre-filter

The BOFA DeepPleat DUO concept with Reverse Flow technology is designed for air flow from bottom to top through the filter element. As the contaminated air enters the filter element, the speed is considerably reduced, so that the larger particles can fall to the bottom and thus remain free of the filter media.

The smaller, lighter particles are then retained within the filter folds. If the majority of the larger particles stay away from the filter media and settle in the dropout chamber within the filter housing, this ensures a much longer service life for the element.

Combined HEPA/Gas filter

The BOFA Combined filter is a combination of two filtering techniques. The HEPA particulate filter is intended to retain 99.997% of the particles with a size of 0.3 microns and 95% with the size of 0.1 microns. The chemical filter is made from active carbon that has been modified with aluminum potassium sulfate, which naturalizes a wide range of chemicals and VOCs.
