ULS CO2 lasers are available in 2 wavelengths; 10,6 um and 9,3 um.
10,6 um lasers – the most common wavelength – are used frequently for:

  • Cutting and marking of wood, fabrics, leather, laminates and plastics
  • Marking on glass, stone and anodized aluminum

The 9,3 um lasers are designed specifically for processing:

  • PET bottles
  • Photopolymers
  • Other soft plastics

ULS manufactures CO2 lasers with output power levels from 10W to 75W:
These so-called ULR series lasers are based on a sealed, RF pumped slab design, allowing good focusing quality of the laser beam. The ULR series operate in either a CW mode or a modulation mode for adjusting the average output power. This modulation can be achieved by varying the pulswidth of the input control signal.

The RF-electrodes in the ULR series are positioned in such a way, that the beam has a good uniformity, without distortions. Combined with the earlier mentioned slab design, this guarantees an excellent beam quality in the far field as well as in the near field.
The folded resonator design allows for a compact design of the laser sources; also for higher power models.

All mentioned  laser sources are available with integrated fans for aircooling; no need for your own external cooling. The sources 10 – 50 W are available without fans; which has the advantage of smaller laser heads and less noisy operation. You will receive guidance for your own external cooling of the laser.
